Elementary English covers CEFR levels A1 to A2, the beginner stage. At this level you understand and use everyday expressions, introduce yourself, ask and answer simple questions, and handle short routine exchanges on familiar topics such as family, shopping and work.
It suits you when you manage basic greetings and simple sentences but struggle to hold a longer conversation or read a full paragraph with ease. E2's free Score Calculator returns an indicative CEFR level in a few minutes, so you can confirm before enrolling.
Moving a full CEFR level takes several months of consistent study for most learners, and varies with study hours, first language and exposure to English. A self-paced course lets you move fast through easy material and slow down where you need it.
No. E2's Elementary English teaches general English rather than exam preparation. No test requirement to enrol, no exam at the end. If you later need IELTS, PTE, OET or CELPIP for a visa or university, E2 runs dedicated courses for those.
