Frequently Asked Questions

Advanced covers CEFR levels C1 to C2. At C1 you use language with flexibility for social, academic and professional purposes, and follow demanding longer texts. At C2 you understand almost everything you read or hear, and express yourself with precision in complex situations.
C1 maps to IELTS 7.0 to 8.0, or PTE 76 to 84, which meets or exceeds most university entry requirements including many postgraduate programs. Institutions set their own thresholds and often require a minimum in each skill, so check your specific course.
Improvement at this level turns on precision rather than coverage: idiomatic range, register control, and nuance in academic or professional writing. Broad exposure matters less than targeted work on the gaps separating a strong C1 from a genuine C2.
Yes. Advanced learners often carry uneven profiles, with fluent speaking alongside imprecise academic writing, or strong reading alongside limited idiomatic range. A structured course surfaces those gaps, which unguided practice tends to hide because you steer around your weak areas.
A fully online, self-paced bundle for advanced learners using English for academic purposes or professional work. It covers advanced grammar, vocabulary range and the four skills, with video lessons and practice activities available whenever suits your schedule.
Yes, when you need a specific score. IELTS, PTE, OET and CELPIP reward exam technique as much as language ability, and advanced speakers underperform on them often, because they do not know what each task type scores on. Test prep closes that gap fast.
E2Language is an Australian EdTech company that has prepared over 2.7 million learners for English tests and general English. The official bodies behind OET, IELTS through IDP, CELPIP and PTE all recognise E2, and its teachers are qualified English language professionals, many of them former official examiners.
