What is PTE Core?
The full form of PTE Core is the Pearson Test of English Core. PTE Core is owned by Pearson, a major multinational learning company. At this time, it is primarily accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)for various immigration programs, including applications for permanent residency and work permits.
PTE Core is a fast, two-hour test that measures your English Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing skills. The PTE Core test is taken via computer in a small, uncrowded test centre. It can be taken at any of the PTE Core 350 test centres in 117 countries around the world. A test appointment can be easily made online.
In the PTE Core scoring system, you receive an Overall Score between 10 and 90, as well as individual scores for each Communicative Skill – Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
